At long last, we have pictures of the final result of the "kitchen" remodel. I say "kitchen" because it ended up touching almost every part of the house. The only parts that didn't get touched were the bathroom and the exterior of the house. I started with the kitchen, which I had decided included the laundry room and the small breakfast nook between the dining room and kitchen. Soon after starting, I decided that it would be a good time to refinish the hardwood floors, which ran everywhere else in the house. While doing some plumbing work, my contractor noticed that there was some drywall that had been torn out going down to the basement -- which is another story. Anyway, he said that he could have his guys replace the drywall while they were doing the patching after the plumbing work was done. Great! Meanwhile, for my birthday, Ronda surprised me and had the living room, master bedroom, hallway and office painted! I couldn't believe it. Walking around the house now kind of gives me this surreal feeling, like I'm walking around in a new house that's laid out exactly like my old house. In fact, in my head I include the backyard as part of the remodel project. So, you can guess that it's nice to have such a huge project over and done with. Ronda has had these pictures for a while -- they were taken at Thanksgiving, I can tell by my pies sitting on the range. So, without further ado...

Unfortunately, there are a few missing from my picture folder for some reason. I'll post an update to this update when I find them. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Now on to the exterior!
